Edward Trottier



Edward Henry Trottier, 83, of Tilton, went peacefully to be with his Lord at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Tilton on Saturday May 15, 2021 with family at his side.

Born in Hillsboro on March 10, 1938 to the late Henry Trottier and Cecelia (Dumais) Trottier. Ed graduated from Hillsboro-Deering High school in 1956, attended Concord Community College and spent most of his early career as a purchasing agent most recently at CMC Technologies in Chichester.

He was a proud member of the NH National Guard and served actively during the Cuban Missile Crisis earning the rank of Spec 5.  Ed was also a member of the Hillsboro American Legion.

A very humble man, Ed spent most of his life in Hillsboro and after retirement enjoyed winters with his wife, Sandy at their winter home in Bradenton Fl.

As a younger man, Ed enjoyed traveling, music, dancing, fishing and camping with his family. In later years he cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. Most recently, Ed took up an interest in birds and loved spending time enjoying God's creation.

Ed is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra (Jordan) Trottier of Tilton.

Surviving sons are Wayne Trottier and his wife Sandra K. of Rutherfordton, NC  and Mark Trottier of Littleton, CO. Surviving daughters include Patti Basiliere and her husband John of Tilton and Donna Milam and her husband Gregory of Clermont, FL.

Ed was blessed with 10 grandchildren - Tyler, Brittany,  Jordan,  Jared, Christopher,  Andrew, Steven, Seth, Emma and Maya.  He has 6 great grandchildren - Kailey, Wesley, Liam, Owen, Lucas and one on the way and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

At a later date a celebration of life and burial will be held at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the American Heart Association or the Sanbornton Congregational Church Organ Fund.
