Laconia Earl Francis LeClair Jr. Earl F. LeClair Jr., 72, of Laconia passed away, September 4, 2014 at his home under the care of his loved ones. He had courageously battled brain cancer for the previous eight months. Earl was born in Franklin on October 2, 1941, son of the late, Earl F. LeClair Sr. and Susan (Fanning) LeClair. Earl, also known as "Sonny" grew up in Franklin where he attended schools, graduating from Franklin High School in 1960. Earl remained in New Hampshire for most of his life, having most recently resided in Laconia. He served his country in the U. S. Army from 1963 to 1966 during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2009 after working for many years in freight forwarding out of Logan Airport. He will be remembered for his charm, quick wit and love for anything outdoors. In addition to his parents, Earl was predeceased by a daughter, Ann-Marie LeClair. He leaves, his wife, Vicki (Curliss) LeClair of Laconia his children: Geoff LeClair of Yazoo, MS, Elizabeth Cantrall and her husband Eric of New Durham,�Keren LeClair-Green of Los Angeles, CA�Ashley Canizales and Kelly Canizales, both of Florida grandchildren: Amanda and Kevon LeClair, Taylor and Jake Cantrall and Nye, Rhys, Shay and Maeve Green his sister, Almena Bernier and her husband, Claude of Franklin his niece, Leisha (Roy) Havey and her husband Tom of Franklin his nephew, David Roy of Conway three grand nieces He also leaves his companion and good canine friend, Amber whom he rescued through Puppy Angels. At Earl's request, there are no public calling hours or services planned. A private gathering and remembrance will be held, and following, Earl's cremains will be scattered in his favorite fishing spot.
