Sanbornton Dorothy Moody Dorothy "Henrietta" Moody, 81, a resident of Sanbornton, died Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Mountain Ridge-Genesis Center in Franklin. "Henri", as she was known, was born March 31, 1935 in Plymouth, the daughter of Bert and Hattie (Rodgers) Moody. Henri lived and worked at the Laconia State School for most of her life. She loved caring for children. She attended the Plymouth and Laconia Senior Centers, where she enjoyed bingo and getting together with all of her friends. Henri was a very happy and sociable person. She loved singing songs and got the biggest kick out of the applause she would get after finishing a song. She even burst into song (Let Me Call You Sweetheart) in a restaurant where all the diners just smiled, listened and applauded her afterwards. She had the sweetest smile and sparkling blue eyes. Henri was very affectionate and loved her family. Henri is survived by her family, Dennis and Betty Manning, Scotty, Jaidah, Marylin Kimball and Erin Lowell all of whom will miss her dearly. There will be a celebration of Henri's life on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the LifeQuest Church, 115 Court St, Laconia, NH. Assisting the family is the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Tilton, NH. Memorial donations in memory of Henri, may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of NH, 814 Elm St., Suite 300, Manchester, NH 03101.
