Canterbury Donald Lee Temple II Donald L. Temple II, 41, a resident of Canterbury since 2001 died suddenly, Sunday, October 19, 2014. He was born in Concord, MA, November 22, 1972, son of Donald L. and Kathryn M. (Bolger) Temple. He resided in Laconia for several years before moving to Canterbury. He spent his youth in Concord, MA, Billerica, MA and Sullivan, NH and graduated from Monadnock Regional High School in Swanzy, NH in 1991. He went on to the University of New Hampshire to study mechanical engineering and then to Southern New Hampshire University graduating with a degree in business administration. A brilliant inventor and engineer, Donald holds several patents. As an entrepreneur, Donald formed and was President of Quick Draw Corp. in Canterbury where he provided patent drawing and engineering services, assisting inventor�s with making their dreams a reality. An avid skier and snowboarder, he touched the lives of many during his years teaching at Pats Peak, Loon Mountain, Tenney Mountain and Gunstock Mountain. One of his greatest passions was riding his mountain bikes. He could be found most weekends from May to November riding at Highland Mountain Bike Park in Northfield, NH, where he also worked as a mountain biking instructor. He also rode the local trails as well as trails all over the United States. Donald travelled the world and enjoyed learning new languages, cultures and meeting new people. A lover of animals, he provided a forever home to many cats needing a second chance. He was a strong supporter and member of the National Rifle Association and served as a Safety Officer with the Sunset Mountain Fish and Game Club in Canterbury. He was never afraid to take chances and met every challenge head on. To Donald, it was worth the risk to experience all that life has to offer. He worked hard at everything he put his hand to and gave fully his heart and soul in his work, play and personal relationships. He was a dear and highly valued friend to everyone who knew him. His family includes his wife of fourteen years, Michelle "Shelly" (Saquet) Temple of Canterbury His parents, Donald and Kathryn (Bolger) Temple of Canterbury Brother, Christian Temple of Canterbury Maternal grandmother, Marie (Hodel) Bolger of Canterbury and Paternal grandmother, Doris (Hall) Temple of Uxbridge, MA 13 aunts and uncles and 16 first cousins Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 P. M. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton, NH. A service will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul�s Episcopal Church, 21 Centre Street in Concord, NH. Private burial will be at a later date.
