Donald Foote

It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Donald Ridges Foote, at age 83, from Tilton, NH on 04/28/2025 while at home surrounded by loved ones after a brief illness.
He was an extraordinarily kind, generous, and loving person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was deeply loved by everyone whose lives he touched.
Don enjoyed dancing, woodworking, gardening, playing bingo, traveling, and spending time with friends and loved ones.
When he and his wife moved to Tilton, NH they joined the Elks Club in Franklin, NH and often volunteered there and also at the Tilton Senior Center. Recently they received an award from the state of NH for their volunteer services.

Don was born in Manchester, NH on July 22, 1941. He graduated from Manchester Central High School. After high school Don enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served his full tour and completed it with an honorable discharge. Don went to work at Ingersol Rand, where he dedicated 33 years of his life. After retiring from Ingersol Rand he was contracted with the phone company, working on the phone lines for several years.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Diane Foote, his son Michael Foote, his daughter Nancy Foote, his sister Nancy Roller, his granddaughters Katie and Rose, and also nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Elks Club in Franklin, NH on June 14th, from 1:00 to 3:00pm
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation be made to Franklin VNA & Hospice and/or the Tilton Senior Center.
The Smart Memorial Home 584 West Main St. Tilton, NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
