Daniel Thomas Ouellette

Franklin Daniel Thomas Ouellette, 61, a resident of Franklin for the past four years died at his home, Saturday, November 7, 2015 following a long period of failing health. Dan was born in Hartford, CT, April 11, 1954, son of the late, Rudolph and Lillian (Hafke) Ouellette. Dan had vacationed in the Lakes Region his whole life, moving there permanently in 1974. He was employed with Plymouth Stitching for seventeen years and worked as a machinist technician and packaging supervisor. Dan later worked as a cabinet assembler and finisher with the former Northern Millworks in Tilton for six years and then with WS Dennison Cabinets in Pembroke for two years. He enjoyed the outdoors and taking summer trips to the Maine coast with his wife, visiting area lighthouses. Dan had a special fondness for animals, especially cats, recently bringing in two adoptive kittens into his home. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Anne Raia of Hartford, CT and his wife, Charlene A. (Boutin) Ouellette who died in 2014. He leaves, his son, Shawn R. Ouellette and his wife, Jodi Jarvis his grandson, Gabriel Ouellette, son of Shawn and Jodi, all of Franklin brothers, Robert Ouellette of Tolland , CT and Raymond Ouellette of Clearwater, FL sister, Theresa Castagna of Newington, CT Five nephews and three nieces. In following with Dan's wishes, there are no calling hours or public services planned. A private Remembrance Gathering will be held for family and close friends when appropriate. Arrangements are under the care of the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton. Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Dan's name to either the Franklin Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 265, Franklin, NH 03235-0265 or to the New Hampshire Humane Society, P. O. Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247-0572.
