Connie Grace (Bach) Barney Lyscars

Laconia Connie Grace (Bach) Barney Lyscars Connie G. Barney Lyscars, 71, of Laconia, NH, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Lakes Region General Hospital. Connie was born on April 4, 1945, the daughter of the late, Henry and Grace (Dow) Bach. Connie is a graduate of Belmont High School, Class of 1963 and a graduate of the NH College of Accounting and Commerce in Manchester, NH. She was predeceased by her brother; Steven Bach in May 1964. Connie was married to Hial G. Barney of Tilton, NH in September of 1964. They had a daughter, Jo-Ala Barney in August 1972. Hial and Connie were members of the Order of The Eastern Star and enjoyed snowmobiling with family and friends of the Mohawk Trail Riders. Hial later passed in August 1979. In August of 1985, she was married to William R. Lyscars of Bedford, NH. Connie is predeceased by a step daughter, Jennifer Lyscars of Bridgeport, CT in September 2015 and leaves a step daughter, Lisa Fizer and her children of Toledo, OH. They resided in Bedford, NH until their return to Tilton in 2004. William later passed in March 2012. Connie was retired from the State of New Hampshire after serving over 20 years as a bookkeeper for multiple technical colleges. She leaves her daughter, Jo-Ala Barney-Markson, and husband Scott Markson; her Granddaughter Erica Markson and her Granddog Gracie of Tilton; her sisters Ginny Clavett and husband Walter of Laconia and Sally Mercier and husband Robert of Camp Verde, AZ; many nieces and nephews. Honoring the wishes of Connie, there are no calling hours planned. A graveside service will be held at the family lot in Park Cemetery in Tilton later in the spring when weather permits. Assisting the family is the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton.
