Claire Annette (Parent) Fleury
Claire A. Fleury, 77, a longtime resident of Northfield died, Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin following a period of failing health. Claire was born in Laconia, August 17, 1941, daughter of the late Lorenzo and Juliette (Goulet) Parent. Claire spent her youth in Laconia and was a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School. She later decided she wanted to be a hairdresser and attended the Empire School of Hairdressing in Laconia. She moved from Laconia and had been a resident of Northfield for over 50 years. She owned and operated a beauty shop, Mimi's Clip and Snip, from her home in Northfield for over 24 years. She was of Catholic faith and was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Tilton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Rita O'Connor and Claudette O'Leary. Claire was also predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Wilfred E. Fleury who died in 2013. She leaves, two daughters, Lisa M. Gagne and her husband Paul of Northfield and Michele A. Welcome and her husband Stan of Sanbornton. Grandchildren, Kara, Ryan, Meaghan and Michael.
Brothers, Henry and Paul Parent of Laconia and several nieces and nephews.
Following Claire's wishes, a calling hour will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton with a service to follow at 2:00 PM.
Private burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Tilton alongside her husband Wilfred.
Assisting with arrangements is the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton.
