Charlotte B. DesRoches, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at her home in Tilton, New Hampshire, at the age of 89. Born on July 12, 1935, in Calvary, Kentucky, Charlotte lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to those around her.
Charlotte was the cherished wife of the late Gerald R. DesRoches, who she lovingly cared for during his later years. Her commitment to family was evident in her relationships with her children: Tony (and his wife Linda), J. Scott (and his wife Jeanne), Kerrie Michaud (and her husband Andre), Gail Noton, and Dale (and his wife Barbara). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored deeply. Charlotte also leaves behind her sister, Agnes Alcorn, and countless nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her other eight siblings, her parents Joseph V. and Mary B. (Spaulding) Ballard, and her son-in-law, Nigel P. Noton.
Professionally, Charlotte worked as a Quality Tech at R.D.F. Industries in Hudson, NH, where she was admired for her work ethic and dedication. Beyond her professional life, she enjoyed the simple pleasures of playing solitaire and solving word puzzles.
Charlotte’s faith was an integral part of her life. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life and faith will be held at St. Kathryn's Parish in Hudson, NH, on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
In honor of Charlotte’s lifelong love and care for children, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, continuing her legacy of kindness and generosity.
Charlotte B. DesRoches will be remembered for her tender spirit, unwavering devotion to family, and steadfast kindness to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
