Charles Frank Dwinal

Laconia Charles Frank Dwinal Charles F. Dwinal, 75, a resident of Laconia for the past 30 years, died at his home, with family at his side, Monday, May 8, 2017 following a lengthy illness. Charlie was born in Somerville, NJ, January 14, 1942, son of the late, Charles F. and Mary R. (Treinor) Dwinal. He moved to Laconia from Tilton. Charlie was a graduate of the Tilton-Northfield High School, class of 1960. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force in 1960, serving honorably until 1964 with the rank of Airman 2nd Class. After his discharge he served as a bartender at various establishments including Arlburg Inn�and Hidden Cove. He later went on to the Laconia Tech for courses in electricity. He worked�in sales and management for many years prior to his retirement at the age of 70, from Laconia Electric Supply after 26 years of employment. A fisherman at heart, his great pastime was fly fishing. He enjoyed fly tying for himself and others and was a member of national fly tying organizations. He was a great supporter and fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Charlie had a gift to gab and simply enjoyed people around him, whether at work or elsewhere, including his trip with his wife across the country. Charlie always seemed to be a friend to all those he met in life. His best friend and fan is his border collie, Brady, and you can guess who he named him after. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert G. Dwinal in 2008. Charlie leaves, his wife whom he married on August 26, 1986, Constance "Coni" (Walch) Dwinal of Laconia two daughters, Catherine "Catie" E. Dwinal of Nashville, TN Cari A. Dwinal of Laconia and her finance, Pat Land brother, James R. Dwinal and his wife, Paula of Florida, and their children: Jeffrey, Kelly Conley and Brian Calling hours will be held, Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the William F. Smart, Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin �Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton. A gathering to celebrate Charlie�s life will follow immediately after calling hours at Contigiani's Conference and Event Center at Pheasant Ridge at 140 Country Club Road in Gilford, the family requests you join them and ask that you bring photos, memories and support along to share during the celebration. Burial, with honors, will be at a later date, when family gathers, at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
