Catherine Mary (Pryharski) Larsen

Franklin Catherine Mary (Pryharski) Larsen Catherine M. Larsen, 84, a longtime resident of Franklin, died Wednesday, September, 16, 2015 following a period of failing health. Catherine was born in Woonsocket, RI, June 23, 1931, daughter of the late, Peter and Mary (Elkinson) Pryharski. She and her late husband John moved from Worcester, MA to Franklin in 1976. Catherine was employed in the 80's in the food service department at Franklin High School for several years. She recently worked in the laundry at Mountain Ridge Health Care Center. Important in her life was service to others as she also worked as a caregiver at the Peabody Home in Franklin and Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen. She enjoyed sharing fun times with others and was active at the TRIP Center in Franklin. For several years she was a member of the Ionic Ragged Mountain Order of the Eastern Star in Franklin. Catherine was a parishioner of St. Paul Church of St. Gabriel Parish in Franklin. She was predeceased by two brothers, Peter and Stephen and her husband of 52 years, John E. Larsen Sr. who died 2003. Her family includes, Her son, John E. Larsen Jr and his wife Krista of Bristol and daughter, Kristina R. LaPlante and her husband, Jeffrey of Belmont. Very important in Catherine's life were her grandchildren, Luc-Henri, Matthieu, Alexander, Jeremie, Ava-Therese, Xavier and Maxanne LaPlante and Olivia, Jack and Boake Larsen. Respecting the wishes of Catherine, there are no calling hours planned. A Mass will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM to celebrate Catherine's life at St. Paul Church of St. Gabriel Parish, School St. in Franklin. A private committal service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen with burial following with her husband John. Arrangements are under the care of the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton. Catherine's family requests that instead of flowers, contributions in her name be sent to the Shriners Hospital For Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA, 02114.
