Bette Claire (Boynton) Reynolds

Franklin Bette Claire (Boynton) Reynolds Bette C. Reynolds, 73, a longtime resident of Franklin died, Sunday, July 12, 2015 following a lengthy illness. Bette was born in Concord, VT, October 26, 1941, daughter of the late, Edward and Alberta (Paquette) Boynton. Bette spent her youth in Littleton, NH and was a graduate of St. Rose Lima High School. Bette and her husband George and children traveled extensively over the years. George's experience as a chef brought them to numerous resorts and hotels. They moved to Franklin from Brunswick, ME over 40 years ago. She worked as a machinist for over 30 years with Webster Valve-Watts Regulator in Franklin prior to her retirement. Those that knew Bette were very much aware that you knew exactly where she stood. Bette had a heart of gold and appreciated a good friendship. She was a longtime active, and Life Member, of the VFW Post # 1698, Ladies Auxiliary in Franklin, often serving as chair in various Post activities. Bette was Past President, serving two terms and remained active up until her illness In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Linda Boynton. She leaves, her husband of 56 years, George F. Reynolds Sr. of Franklin, children, Ronald Reynolds and his wife Susan of Lawton, OK, Edward Reynolds and his wife Saralee of Northfield, Robin LaCourse of Rochester, NH, Patrick Reynolds and his wife, Lisa of Charlotte, NC and George F. Reynolds Jr. and his wife, Tracy of Northfield. Grandchildren, Randy, Rachel, Shania, Brandon, Trista, Karla, Jennifer, John, Kyle, Noah, Emily, Elisabeth, Ashley and Jessica. Great-grandchildren, Payton, Maddix, Isaac, Tyler and Emalyn. Siblings, Sandy Webber, Freemont, CA, Edward Boynton, Carolyn Dickerson and Kenneth Boynton of Littleton, Cindy Applegate of MA, Cathy Fitzgerald of Orlando, FL, Sheila Keach and Lisa Smith of Bethlehem. Numerous nieces and nephews. Abiding by Bette's wishes, there are no calling hours. A private service for her family will be held at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton by members of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of Bette's life at the VFW Post, 26 Peabody Place in Franklin on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date. Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Bette's name to the Don Fogg Scholarship, Franklin VFW Post # 1698, 26 Peabody Place, P. O. Box 143, Franklin, NH 03235.
