�Franklin Barbara G. (Wooley) Plizga Barbara G. Plizga, 88, a lifelong resident of Franklin died at her daughter�s home in Northfield, Friday, November 10, 2017 with family at her side, following a period of failing health. Barbara was born in Franklin, March 19, 1929 daughter of Bernard I. and Geraldine C. (Bates) Wooley. A homemaker, Barbara also worked as a bar tender at the former Polish Club in Franklin and also Cormier Hosiery.�She was a Girl Scout Leader for several years. Barbara was active with the V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post # 1698 in Franklin and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post # 49 in Northfield. She was a parishioner of St. Paul Church of St. Gabriel Parish in Franklin. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Plizga. Her family includes, Her son, Stephen E. Plizga and his wife, Esther of Northfield Daughters, Carol H. Edmunds and Richard of Franklin, Sally L. Robert and her husband, Tom of Northfield, Cathy A. Keyser and her fianc� John Guay of Northfield and adopted daughter Ann Danforth and husband, Larry of Northfield 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren In addition to her family, Barbara was loved by many close friends Calling hours will be held Friday, November17, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton. A gathering will follow calling hours at the American Legion, Post #49, Park St. in Northfield. Spring burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Franklin. Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Barbara�s to St. Gabriel Parish, P. O. Box 490, Franklin, NH 03235-0490
