New Port Richey, Florida Barbara H. (Houston) McCue Barbara H. McCue, 86, of New Port Richey, Florida died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Gulfside Center for Hospice in�Hudson, Florida following a short illness. Barbara was born in Boscawen, NH, April 8, 1929, daughter of Walter E. and Grace M. (Bartlett) Houston. Barbara was a direct descendant of Josiah Bartlett, Founding Father and Signer of the Declaration of Independence. Barbara spent her youth and schooled in Boscawen. She moved from Boscawen to Franklin where she resided for 40 years and in 1995 moved to Florida. For many years she was employed with Beede Electric in Penacook, working there until her retirement at age 64. For years she was an active and life member of the VFW�Ladies Auxiliary, Post # 1698 in Franklin, was Conductress for 9 years and�served two terms�as president. She was a musician and active with the VFW State Department as organist. She loved traveling with her beloved husband Henry. She lived life on her own terms and to the fullest. She taught herself how to play piano and loved singing and playing music with her family and friends. Barbara was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a longtime member of the Congregational Christian Church, UCC in Franklin. She was predeceased by siblings, Earle, Richard and Ernest Houston, sister, Virginia Ford, son Ernest Morrill, grandson Jack J. Schock, and granddaughter Tracy L. Schock. She leaves, her husband of 20 years, Henry J. McCue of New Port Richey, FL sons, David E. Schock and wife�Liz�of Loudon Glenn W. Morrill and wife�Linda of Hill Mark�T. Morrill of Laconia 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren sisters, Doris Vezina of Boscawen and Margaret Baker of Northwood Numerous nieces and nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews Calling hours will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton. A VFW Ladies Auxiliary service will be held for Barbara at 1:30PM. A graveside service will be held when weather permits at the family lot in Franklin Cemetery. A reception to follow the calling hours will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Franklin VFW Post #1698, Peabody Place, Franklin. Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Barbara's name and are encouraged to do so to the charity of their choice.
