Nana, Anna, Ma, is what we call her. For 77 years, she wrapped us in love, her handmade
quilted blankets and the warmth of her home. She hosted a family dinner with her loving
husband, Paul, every Sunday for her two sons' families. Her family will never forget the drive down their winding road in Canterbury to be greeted by a smiling, giggling Nana waiting to fill her dearest family's hearts and stomachs. The essence of her love and kindness has always transcended the difficult times, set a tone for the good times, and healed our family throughout her life. We hope to carry on the tradition and her spirit of this loving-kindness in the way we show our care for those who accompany us on our own journeys.
Anna Dragon, born Anna Marie Waltos, 77, was born on May 8th, 1946, and died in Concord, New Hampshire, on March 11th, 2024. She grew up in Franklin, New Hampshire.
Anna attended Franklin High School before marrying Paul Dragon. Her primary life’s focus was creating and caring for her two sons, Matthew and Jeff. She showed her love by sewing quilts, shirts, mittens, and dolls for generations of her family.
Anna was preceded in death by her mother, Mary, her father, Louis, her brother Louis and nephew Kevin.
She is survived by her husband Paul, her son Jeff and his wife Melissa, her son Matthew and his wife Dawn, her nephew Brian and his wife Patty and her grandchildren
Rebecca, Sarah, Madison, Shelby, and Grace.
Anna spent Fridays meeting her close friends to chat about their life journeys, quilting, and grandchildren. She also talked to her lifelong friend Ruthie daily. Anna will always be remembered as the loving Matriarch of the Dragon Family. She and her
husband were known to hold hands throughout their 60 years together. Given this precedent and the value she placed on her connections with her family, we will carry on this tradition and encourage all who were blessed to know her to do so as well.
Love you, Nana.
