Alice J. Sheldon

Life Legacy Northfield Alice Jean (Sears)Sheldon Alice J. Sheldon, 86, a resident of Northfield for 50 years died Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Concord Hospital following a period of failing health. Alice was born in Atco, New Jersey, May 12, 1927, daughter of the late Edward and Ida (Duble) Sears. She was a homemaker and for over 7 years prior to her retirement worked for Walmart in Tilton as the Community Coordinator. She also led fundraisers there for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Alice was recently acknowledged for her 33 years as an Avon representative. Over the years she was a member of the Tilton-Northfield United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert H. Sheldon who died in 1988 , her second husband, Rene Theoret who died in 2012 and siblings, Albert, Edward, Ross and Earl Sears. Her family includes, Two daughters: Alice J. (Sheldon) Brown of Belmont Bobbie A. (Sheldon) Cilley of Hopkinton Four grandchildren: Wendy Borden, Bruce Cilley Jr., Jason Cilley and Robert Cilley. Nine great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild Nieces and nephews Calling hours will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM with a funeral service following at 2:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery in Tilton.
