Sharon E. (Tilton) Goupil
Sharon Elizabeth (Tilton) Corey Goupil, 75, a lifetime resident of the Lakes Region, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 30, 2023 after a short illness.
She was born in Franklin on April 27, 1948 the daughter of the late Charles W. and Maebelle (Pippen) Tilton.
Sharon was a graduate of Franklin High School and worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Hannaford Supermarket for many years. She was a prolific crocheter and an avid reader in her spare time. Sharon was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church of St. Gabriel Parish in Tilton.
She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Erwin “Butch” F. Corey Jr. who died in 2001, her second husband, Leonce “Pete” Goupil who died in 2018 and her daughter, Shari B. Hunt who died in 2017.
Her family includes her son; Todd and his wife Michele Corey of Tilton, her son-in-law; Derek Hunt of Goffstown and her three grandchildren; Austin Hunt, Gregory Hunt and Bryce Corey. She is also survived by her sister; Gayle Twombly of Fort Pierce, Fl, her brother and sister in laws and many nieces and nephews.
According to Sharon’s wishes, there will be no calling hours held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main St., Belmont, NH. Burial will follow the service in St. John Cemetery in Tilton.
